Fraud Prevention Compliance: Are you prepared?

Under the new offence, leadership and senior management teams will be responsible for demonstrating a commitment to preventing fraud. An organisation may be liable if any associated person (employee, agent or subsidiary) commits fraud intending to benefit the organisation or its clients.

In the event of fraud, organisations that fall within the scope of the offence face severe penalties and even criminal convictions if it is found that they have fallen short of these prevention requirements.

Are you ready?

Our checklist allows you to assess your current level of confidence in what your organisation has done in order to comply with the new legislation. The checklist is designed to give you a sense of where you might be, and what additional steps you may need to take to be confident that you are prepared. It is not designed to be a formal risk assessment; it is merely intended to point out areas where you may still have work to do. The Government Guidelines outline the specific steps that organisations need to take in order to comply with the new offence.
